Greetings from Nashville!

Hey everyone! Thank you all for your comments. I love hearing from you guys. We are having a great time and have met so many incredible people. We apologize for not keeping the site updated, as we are having trouble uploading pictures onto the public computers. Hopefully we will find one soon because we all have awesome pictures from Ohio, Kentucky, and Tennessee!!
So far we have been to The Kentucky Music Hall of Fame, The Kentucky Horse Park, and The Country Music Hall of Fame (just to name the major places)!! But we have also shopped at Super Wal*Mart 150,000 times(thank you Robbins, TN), eaten at delicious resturants, and watched movies at the local theatre for only $1!!!!!!!!
Working on the house in Tennessee was such an amazing experience! Not only because of the physical work itself (and hammering my thumb COUNTLESS times, which is still bruised by the way), but getting to know the other Habitat volunteers, workers, and future homeowner (and her family) as well. Carolyn has prayed for a better home and a better life for many years, and her dream is finally coming true. She was outside with us everyday helping when she could. Her son, Nathan, was also there everyday to take part in the building with us. Everyone in Robbins was so welcoming that it was hard to leave them yesterday.
We spent last night and today (Saturday) in Nashville. I love it here! But we are leaving very soon to make it to our next stop, with a 10 hour drive ahead. Tomorrow we will arrive at our second destination, Greenville, MS!!
I promise, as soon as we find a computer that works with our cameras, we will update you! I miss all of you guys, but am having a blast!
Happy Mother's Day!! Talk to you all soon.

Love, Bre

Hey Bre!
I really wish I could have been there for the Country Music Hall of Fame (HA!) It sounds like ya'll (is that really how they say it down there?!?) are working hard but are also having some great experiences! I really can't wait to see your pictures, make sure you get one of your multi-colored thumb!
Soooo...my house turned into a farm over the weekend. We decided to invite a stray cat in on Friday-we fed it and gave it a bath, Pedro's now asleep on my bed! Then, Sunday morning Mom and Dad went for a walk at a dam near my house and found a wounded SWAN (HA!), hopefully someone from the Animal Rescue Service will come and pick it up tomorrow, otherwise it looks like my Mom is going to try to nurse it back to health and fix its wing! I think Gram got it just about right when she said "your parents need another animal in that house like they need a hole in the head!" (This was stated after the "Mother's Day Dinner" tonight which consisted of multiple bottles of wine... yikes!)
Well, it's time for me to go... not watch cable! Talk to you soon! Keep up the good work! Miss you!

Hi Bre,
It sounds like you guys are having a lot of fun, meeting new people, learning a lot about the world of construction, but best of all......making yourself a whole bunch of wonderful memories....I was with your Mom yesterday when we took Grandma Riley out to breakfast.....We took two cars, and as your Mom, Tricia, Leigh and myself got out of Leigh's vehicle we looked into Aunt Susie's car and there sat Aunt Pat in the backseat with sun glasses on and little old muffin snuggling right up to her........I told her she looked like a movie star........It was nice being with them and when your Mom mentioned that this was the first Mother's Day in 21 years that you weren't with her, I knew just what she felt........You kids grow up, but you are always our babies..........Patti Sue and Kenzie came down and took me out to dinner (so, that 137 pounds that I was down to, no more)...We actually (one of Blake's favorite words)went to your house, but your Mom wasn't home, she was over to your Grandma Pepper's house giving her, her meds.......Talked to your Dad for awhile, then I had to take Kenzie over to look over the baseball field at the Intermediate school, where she will be playing against Mackenna's softball team on Thursday.......I can't wait that is going to be fun........It will remind me of the game I went to when your team played against Leigh's and I got hit with a batted ball(nice memory huh?)...Guess I'd better stop or this will be too long and wont' go through!
Love You,
Aunt Sandy

Hi Bre,
It's great to hear about all your adventures. It sounds like so much fun. We had a guest speaker come to our Church to talk about a mission to Florida to help all the victims down there. He spoke about all the people that came together. It sounded similar to your update. These people are very lucky to have so many caring people helping them out. Continue to have fun. The time goes by so fast!
Did I mention I would like a deck off my atrium doors?? j/k
See you soon,
Ella

Hi Miss Breezie,
I just sent you a nice little letter, but I don't think they published it, just in case they did I will make this one short...My main question is......Have you found "Bubba" (Mr. Right)yet?.....You are definitely in the right area...You may even find yourself a real cowboy.......I know that you will be meeting a lot of people and making numerous friends each and every day that you are away....You have that "People's Personality"....Take lots of pictures (I think that is the only thing I repeated from my earlier message, just in case you get both of these)and have lots and lots of FUN!!!!

Hi Bre,
Be very glad that you are down there where it is warm, it is 36 degrees here, and with wind chill it is 30.......Kenzie and Kenna had an awesome ballgame tonite...Homer won by making one run in the last inning....It was really great, and afterwards the two girls hugged each other...One of Aunt Susie's old (really old)classmate, asked Patti-Sue why she was with the Rileys......She told him "because I am one of them...Can't you tell that I got my height from Aunt Sue and my Mom."........The guy cracked up....During the game (Kenz pitched, in fact Grandma Riley said that she really reminded her of you when you use to pitch)when Kenz would be pitching to Kenna I'd yell, "Hey Ken, pitch a good one to Ken"......The only bad thing about tonite is that I had to go and have a heart moniter(Halter Monitor) put on me as my hard rate has been going quite fast, and I can just imagine how it shot up when I was jumping up and down and screaming at the girls...When my cardiologist see's it he'll probably tell me I need a heart transplant!!!!Your Mom is not feeling too good tonite, in fact I was talking to her when you called, and by the way......I told her that you deserve a party for graduating from college, and I offered the big field next to my house in this lovely "Trailer Park" to have it there......I told her if that happened after you saw all my intelligent neighbors (some you can't tell cause they have no teeth and it is hard to understand them)You'd switch from speach to Psyc........Hope you are still making new wonderful memories every day......Will talk again soon. Love You,
Aunt Sandy
P.S. This is great, I can talk all I want, and you can't tell me to stop!

Hi, Miss Bre,
I am so proud of you, I know you have always been a smart little thing, but seeing you handle that nail gun like a pro, lets me know that you have a lot of hidden talents that haven't come out until now.........Looking at all those pictures gives me a great idea of what I can give you for Christmas next year.....The two things that are making the top of my list are....The most up-to-date- nail gun that Bargain Outlet has...and your own tool belt....Maybe I could even get it in purple, bet you'd like that!and as for the nails you will need, I can get a whole pail full at the dollar store for only a buck, and if I'm a little short on cash, I can always go to the 99 cent store I'm sure they'd have a wide assortment........Keep up the good work, and maybe you won't have to work at Price Chopper this summer, Phil's worked at enough construction sights, I know most of the bosses by their first name...I can put in a good word for you, Just let me know......
Love You Kiddo,
Your crazy Aunt Sandy

Hi Bre,
Sorry that I haven't written in awhile......I had some problems with Phil all last week so I went up to Patti-Sue's for awhile....I tried to get this sight on her computer and it wouldn't go through! I have to tell you something that happened when I was up to Patti's.......We decided to go for a little drive so that we would be alone and we could talk...You are not going to believe what came on the radio.....Right in a row these two songs played......First, "Daniel, My Brother", and second, "Danny Boy".......We knew then that Danny was definitely there in that car with us..........When that happens it feels so neat.......Of course it would be much neater if we could see him......But, we'll take what he gives us, it sure gets us through some bad days!........So, how is your bruised thumb, or is it bruised thumbs by now?.......Hope you are still meeting great people and having bunches of fun!
Love You Kiddo,
Aunt Sandy

Hi Bre,
My Jeffrey got his permit yesterday, and you know me......What do you think I did?............I wrote him a little short poem, and I thought that you might like to see it......
May 18, 2005
"Permit Day"

Today is the day that Jeffrey's been waiting for, for years. It's also a the day that will increase his parent's stress level and fears. Hopefully, he's learned the difference between the gas pedal and the gas, and Oh Lordy, I hope he drives on the road and not the grass.
Toodling around in the driver's seat, he'll think, "Damn this is sweet. What a blast!" Coming up on a trafic light, green is go, red is stop and yellow.......oh yes, go real fast. With the girl's he'll think he has a lot of clout. That is until he drives by them and the engine in his car stalls out.
As scary as this day may be, in six months it'll get worse you see. At least now he needs an adult riding by his side, but on License day, he'll be taking a Solo Ride.
Jeffrey, I hope you know that this is written in jest. As a grandson you are the best. As a driver, I'll wait to see. How about picking me up when I'm about 93!

I'm sure the picture you have in your mind of Jeffrey driving a car, is him with the back seat loaded with cement blocks and a few other toys.....But, he has grown into (5'10" and 200 lbs)a really nice young man.....Hope you are still working hard, learning a lot, and making more wonderful memories......
Love You,
Aunt Sandy

P.S. See, no matter where you go, I find you and make you listen to my poems!

Hi There Mz Pepper,
How are Ya'll doing?......You're about on your final legs of this hardworking, no fun (ha, ha)trip.....I just hope that you will retain in your sharp brain all that you have learned.....As you know, you are a part of a very large family, and you never know when one of us may need your help in building us a home....Just think of all the money we will save having a well informed construction worker like you as kin....I just got my book called "Scrapbooking for Dummies"...Hopefully, it will help me get started, and I know if I run into trouble I just have to call "Kinneally 11" and my other creative niece (Trish) will help me with that..........Oh, I feel so lucky to be related to so many capable people, I sometimes wonder what happened to me........All the traits you guys are getting must have skipped your Mom's and My generation (and your MOM and Uncle Lee are in a generation of their own, as if you didn't already know that)the genes passed on to us only included, Arthritis, Tendonitis, and Bulging Discs, just to mention a few... A sad note....Wednsday (looks like it is mis-spelled, something else I probably inherited)Phil had to take our dog, Max, to the Vet's to be put to sleep.......He was getting real bad, my one consolation is that I know he is up their running in the fields with Danny, having a ball........Guess I'd better go and check my email, and see if I was popular today or not.......Will talk soon!
Love You Lots,
Aunt Sandy

Sunday, 5/22/05
Hi Bre,
Well, it's a quiet Sunday here in my house.....Kind of sunny but cool...Only got up to about 54 degrees today......Phil and I decided we wanted some ice cream, so we went up to the Super Cream, thought we might see Trishie, but she wasn't working today...Phil, of course got what I'd die for, a banana split.....and yours truly got a no fat, no sugar twist, with vanilla and maple soft ice cream...It was really good...We got laughing thinking about what would have happened years ago (very many)when we were kids if we had gone there and asked for "Fat Free, Sugar Free Ice cream"....I'm sure that they would have looked at us like we had two heads.....I started on Weight Watchers Friday,It's the "Point System"...I'm really surprised at how much you can eat on this...The total points I can have a day is 22, and I've even managed to get some of my creamed caramels in....Of course now it is 3 a day, instead of a big bag full......I don't know if I told you that when Kenzie and Patti came down for Mothers' Day, I hid my caramels, and put Tootsie Roll Pops out instead........and when I was up to Patti's last weekend I had to confess to Kenz what I had done....She said, "That's ok Nana, I like Tootsie Roll Pops." Then with a big smile on her face she said, "I'll have to tell you the truth too.....I found your stash of caramels by the computer and I ate them." We all laughed so hard...Yep, she definitely has her Nana's love of sweets!Going to make this short (you probably don't think I know what short is, as I usually write a book)as I want to watch "Crossing Jordan"...I've really got hooked on it.....Have fun!
Love You,
Aunt Sandy

Hi Bre,
By the looks of your letters, I think I get the prize for writing the most...I guess it shows who has a busy life and who doesn't!..That's ok,I like writing to you.. Jason has always told me that I write the way I talk.....Fast and a lot...Do you know anyone else in our family who is a big talker....Here's a hint....Telephone.......I think that other person and I have a lot in common.....We look nothing alike, but some of our similarities are right on......If she starts writing poems let me know!..........I'll have to call your mother (speaking of the other person)and find out how close you are on heading back home....I have to wait until tomorrow night after The Idol, as your Dad may have a heartattack if I call on an off night.......Only a few more days and you will have a 17 year old brother.......I always (and always will no matter how many times I am told)forget if Bri's BD is 2ith, 29th, or 30th).........I'm close but not sure......This year I'll guess the 29th!........It does not seem possible that you two are 21 and 17.......where in heck has the time gone?.......That's enough of that, I'll let you get back to more important things......Have fun!
Love You,
Aunt Sandy
